Bamboo seeker's fence use gives guards offence
What started as a wee problem became a matter of life and death for a man in Kampot’s Toeuk Chhou district on Friday. The 56-year-old was on Bokor mountain, looking for bamboo when he stopped to urinate on the fence of a nearby plantation. Police arrested one of the men after the victim’s family filed a complaint. Nokor Wat
Don't throw rocks if you drink from a glass bottle
A group of good-time goons enjoying a knees-up in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district on Friday didn’t let the fun get in the way of a good fight. Drinking and dancing soon turned to drunken disorder, with the cooked crooks finding rocks to hurl at one another, seriously wounding three men. Police arrived on the scene and arrested four of the party pounders, while the rest escaped to ruin another night. Kampuchea Thmey
Man ignores blotter, loses moto and mate
A 28-year-old fell victim to the oldest trick in the moto-theft book on Friday. Evidently not a reader of the Police Blotter, he allowed an associate to borrow his bike for a short ride, never to see his moto or the friend return. The trusting soul reported the theft to police before catching the road robber himself in Phnom Penh. Sen Sok police took in the forlorn friend, who admitted to selling the bike and spending the proceeds. Nokorwat
Sneaky moto thief not quite sneaky enough
A Phnom Penh motodop looked set to lose his livelihood, before a police chase brought his moto's thief to justice. The 24-year-old suspect allegedly snatched the vehicle from the Daun Penh district on Friday, after the owner slipped inside his house for a while. The sly thief rode off with the stolen loot while the vexed victim shouted for help. Patrolling police nabbed the suspect and sent him to court. Koh Santepheap
