Brazil lifted their fifth FIFA Futsal World Cup in dramatic fashion on Sunday night in Bangkok with a 3-2 extra-time victory over familiar final foes Spain.
Neto scored the 50th-minute winner at the Hua Mak Indoor Stadium to seal Brazil’s third triumph out of four over two-time champions Spain in the championship decider.
He also picked up the Golden Ball award as player of the tournament, an honour claimed by team-mate Falcao in the previous two editions.
Eder Lima of Russia collected the Golden Shoe award as top scorer with nine goals.
