The chickens came home to roost for one Kampot cockfighting operation this week, whose neighbours had long complained of the racket. A Battambang resident who had his moto stolen saw a quick turnaround on his complaint after the crook was stung just hours after being reported on Tuesday. A 53-year-old woman nabbed selling drugs in Stung Treng town was doing it to support her family, or so says the suspect. Two experienced necklace snatchers were caught out on Tuesday when a chorus of alarms brought the curtains down on their ruse. Police said the nimble-fingered friends regularly tried their hand on the busy market crowd in Kampong Speu’s Oddong district. Police put a stop to epic sword and stone battle
A Kampot street brawl that terrified nearby residents on Tuesday saw hooligans draw swords – only to be countered with hurled rocks. The brainless battle began between gangs of boozing hoodlums, with neighbours unable to stop it, police said. The cops arrived on the scene but were only able to arrest five members of the senseless skirmish – the rest scrammed. They were sent to court.
