Husband of murdered teacher in Cambodia forgives wife's killers

THE husband of the Singaporean teacher murdered in Cambodia spoke on Sunday of how he has forgiven her killers.

Fighting back tears, Mr Paul Ng delivered an emotional speech at a memorial service in Glad Tidings Church. He said: "Though the actions of those responsible will have legal consequences, I forgive them.

"There are those here who carry guilt feelings over what happened. It was a combination of things which went wrong that led to this. I want to say, I blame no one."

His wife, 55-year-old relief principal Wendy Ng, was found dead last week in her living quarters at Hope International School (Kampong Speu). Four Cambodian workers who were helping to build the school's new compound have confessed to the murder.
